As the holy month of Shravan began on July 11 this year, the earth welcomed it with rains, as the monsoon clouds rolled across the skies. Shravan is one of the holiest months in the Hindu Calendar, dedicated to Lord Shiva.
Across many Indian homes and temples, the rituals like Vrats, Rudra Abhishek, and sattvic food preparations bring the families and the communities closer than they are. In this sacred month of Shravan, many devotees observe dietary discipline by consuming only sattvic foods and seeking a divine and deeper connection by offering bhog, which reflects purity and devotion.
Shreeji Foods understands that every product is created with personal sentiment. We offer you premium dry fruits that are carefully chosen and packed to ensure quality, freshness, and spiritual significance.
How Dry Fruits are of Sacred Value in Devotion:
Dry Fruits are not just a symbol of nourishment, but of spiritual richness too. Whether you include them in naivedya or add them to prasad, they are even consumed in fasts. Each dry fruit carries a symbolic purity and vitality, be it almonds, raisins, cashews, figs, or dates. Some are believed to promote clarity of thought and strength. While some are highly sattvic and suitable for fasting rituals.
Here are 3 recipes to offer Lord Shiva during Shravan, which are purely sattvic and highly nutritious

Start by dry roasting makhanas in ghee until crisp, crush them once they are cooled down. Boil the milk and then add the roasted makhanas. After letting it simmer for 10-12 minutes, add all the dry fruits after chopping them finely, and lastly, add sugar or jaggery powder. Serve it warm after offering it as prasad to Lord Shiva.
Recipe 2: Panchamrit with Sacred Dry Fruits.

Start by pouring all the ingredients except the dry fruits into a clean bowl. Then, chop the dry fruits and add them, and begin stirring gently. Offer this blend for Abhishek of the Shivling and distribute it among the family as a part of prasad.
Recipe 3: No-Grain Dry Fruit Laddus

Start by finely chopping all the ingredients, then roast the cashews and almonds. Once they have cooled, grind them coarsely. Next, grind the dates and figs into a sticky paste. In a pan, heat some ghee, then combine the nut powder and the date-fig paste. Add the coconut and cardamom powder, and stir until the mixture is well blended. Keep stirring and let it cool slightly under a fan. Then, shape the mixture into small laddus. You can store them for vrat snacking.
