Recipes to offer to Lord Vishnu on Ashadhi Ekadashi
1. Makhane ki Kheer
A creamy kheer made with makhana, dry fruits, and love, without any grain and added sugar.
All you will need is Makhana, Desi Ghee, Cashews & Almonds, Raisins, Jaggery, and Cardamom Powder.
Start by roasting makhana in Shudh Desi Gir Cow Ghee by Shreeji, and then crush it lightly, boil in a pan, and add makhana to it. Cook on low heat for 10-12 minutes, and then add chopped fresh almonds, cashews, and cook until it is thick and creamy. Then turn off the flame, and let it cool for a bit before adding jaggery. Then garnish it with raisins before serving it.
2. Sooji ka halwa
A classic and sattvic dish made with jaggery and ghee, perfect for a prasad offering.
All you are going to need is Rawa, Desi Ghee, Jaggery, Cashews, Raisins, and cardamom powder.
Roast sooji (rawa) in shudh desi ghee on a low flame until it is golden and fragrant. Then, in another pan, take some jaggery in water and bring it to a boil. In the next step, add jaggery water to the sooji while hot. Stir the halwa until the consistency of it is thick, and lastly add chopped almonds, cashews, raisins, and cardamom powder.
Serve while warm.
3. Dry Fruit Laddu
A devotional powerhouse
For this recipe, you will require dates, almonds, cashews, raisins, pistachios, desi ghee, and cardamom powder from Shreeji Foods.
Start with dry roasting and chopping cashews, almonds, and pistachios. Then heat dates until soft in ghee, mix chopped dry fruits along with raisins and cardamom. Cook for another 3-4 minutes. Light it cools slightly, and then shape them into laddus with your hands greased by ghee. Offer the wholesome laddus as Naivedyam to Lord Vishnu.
